My background combines two disciplines that may seem distant but are, in fact, deeply complementary: law and medicine. This dual expertise was a deliberate choice, driven by the growing complexity of modern criminal proceedings, where scientific evidence plays an even more decisive role.
I graduated summa cum laude in Law from the University of Milan, with a thesis in Roman Legal History. My interest in the historical roots of law led me to collaborate, alongside my professional practice, as a teaching assistant in the same academic department under Professor Marcella Balestri.
I later earned a second degree in Medicine and Surgery, also summa cum laude, from the same university, authoring an experimental thesis in Forensic Medicine under Professor Cristina Cattaneo at the LABANOF (Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology and Odontology), one of the world’s leading forensic research centers. I also obtained my license to practice medicine and surgery at the University of Milan.
This unique background has enabled me to develop firsthand expertise in the evaluation of scientific evidence — a skill that is now essential in cases involving medical malpractice, environmental crimes, and, more broadly, all areas of technical and scientific criminal law.
I am a member of the Milan Bar Association, qualified for court-appointed representations and authorized to practice before the Juvenile Court. I furthered my legal education in the United States as a visiting student at Seton Hall University – School of Law (New Jersey, USA).
After gaining experience at a leading Milan-based law firm specializing in criminal law — where I participated in high-profile national cases and assisted major companies in the insurance and publishing sectors — I joined the Studio Legale Aloi (now Aloi Avvocati), founded by my father, Attorney Franco Aloi.
Here, I have extended my practice to criminal defense of individuals, families, and assets, while contributing to the firm’s development in corporate and business criminal law, combining scientific rigor with the tradition of forensic advocacy.
A long-time practitioner of Judo, I apply its principles to my professional approach: turning the opponent’s strength into a defensive advantage, and crafting precise, effective legal strategies.
As Master Yukiso Yamamoto taught:
When someone attacks you, he is giving you the gift of his strength. To make use of this gift you must know how to receive it.
